Seen, Read 2018

(After Steven Soderberg’s MEDIA LIST)

I recently mentioned how much TV I’ve been watching, and have become curious to know exactly what I’ve been watching (and listening to)—and where my time is going—so I’ve compiled this list for 2018 after seeing what Steven Soderberg did here (and whose link I found here).

I plucked the info from my Libby, CloudLibrary, and library accounts, our movie streaming services’ histories, and my 2018 planners.

I think I’ll just start a running MEDIA LIST for 2019 that’s laid out by month like this—for the sake of documentation. Putting this together has helped me clear my mind today.

Follow a wandering mind (it takes practice)

I’m reading Lynda Barry‘s books What It Is and Picture This, though it’s not really reading. It’s more like looking, leafing, browsing through someone’s sketchbook of doodles, sticky notes, memories, subconscious mind. It gives me ideas as I think about my old notebooks which I feel are just a process of something that has the potential to be something else.

A couple of quotes:

Putting things together again, again.

Why How What do we compose?

Follow a wandering mind. It takes practice.

Her work is absolutely strange and wonderful.
